Taking your Ordeal ?

Things you need to know!
Remember, this is the "Brotherhood of Cheerful Service"
What time should I get to camp? Plan to get to camp after your dinner but before 8:00PM.
You will need to check in and register. Have a copy of your receipt from the council or be prepared to pay at the door. - no credit cards.
What do I need to bring? You WILL need your full CLASS A uniform for Saturday, but wear work clothes Friday. Bring your sleeping bag and a ground cloth for Friday night.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring work gloves. Dont forget your rain gear because the Ordeal goes on rain or shine.
Personal hygiene gear for your shower Saturday afternoon.
Do I need to bring a tent? Bring a tent because the camp tents may or may not be available. You can setup your tent Friday if you get to camp early enough but you will not need it until Saturday evening.
What happens Saturday? You will wake up early, have breakfast and start your service. This will last until about 3:00pm when you will be released to take a shower and change into your Class A uniform. You will be told when to report for the ceremony. After the ceremony you will be a full member of the OA and we will have dinner.
After dinner we have games and fun time as well as a chance to be introduced to your chapter chief and chapter members. Saturday evening is the Pow-Wow with more fun and games.
What happens Sunday? Sunday morning right after breakfast, we have chapel. Right after chapel we will start our Lodge Meeting. As a new member, you will see how the lodge runs. It is important to be at the meeting, you will be recognized as new members and since you are a full member with complete voting rights, its good to know what is going on.
When is the Ordeal Weekend over? The Ordeal is finished after the Lodge Meeting Sunday morning. Plan to leave camp around 12:00 although we usually get done earlier. Feel free to stay and talk to the lodge officers after the meeting.
